TERMS OF SERVICE – ASKPERTASK.CO.UK

1. DEFINITIONS

User – any natural or legal person using the Platform.

Account – an individual User profile on the Platform.

Client – a User who posts a Task and is seeking a service provider.

Tasker – a User offering to perform a service.

Seller – a User offering a Product in the Marketplace section.

Buyer – a User purchasing a Product through the Marketplace.

Task – a post requesting a specific service.

Offer – a proposal submitted by a Tasker to perform a Task.

Service – work performed by the Tasker for the Client.

Product – an item listed for sale in the Marketplace.

Marketplace – part of the Platform for selling used items.

Service Fee – a payment for features like promotions or support.

Commission – a fee charged on selected transactions.

User Content – any data, images, descriptions, comments or other materials posted in the Platform.

Terms – this document.

2. USING THE PLATFORM

2.1 Conditions for Use
Full legal capacity,

Acceptance of the Terms and Privacy Policy,

No previously removed or suspended account.

2.2 Account Registration
Obligation to provide truthful, accurate and up-to-date data,

No impersonation or unauthorized registration on behalf of others,

Only one account per person or business (unless approved by the Platform),

The Platform reserves the right to verify any account at any time, e.g. in cases of suspected fraud or abuse.

2.3 Account Security
Users are responsible for securing their login and password,

Users are fully liable for any actions performed through their account, including unauthorized access due to lack of protection.

2.4 Communication and Notifications
By using the Platform, Users agree to receive:

System and transactional notifications,

Messages from other users,

Marketing or informational messages (with opt-out options).

2.5 Platform Availability
The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or upgrades,

The Platform may suspend or terminate an account if the Terms or laws are violated,

Use of the Platform is at the User’s own risk.

2.6 Identity and Data Verification
The Platform may require verification of identity, qualifications, company data, or other documents,

Failure to comply may result in restricted access or account suspension.

3. PLATFORM FEATURES AND RULES

3.1 Posting Tasks
Clients may post tasks specifying:

Service description,

Preferred time and location,

Budget (if applicable),

Any additional requirements.

Prohibited content includes:

Illegal or misleading offers,

Offensive or abusive content,

Fake or spammy listings.

The Platform may remove or review content for quality or compliance.

3.2 Making Offers
Taskers may respond to Tasks by submitting Offers that include:

Execution plan,

Price and timing,

Terms and details.

Accepting an Offer creates a contract between Client and Tasker. The Platform is not a party to this contract.

3.3 Fixed Service Offers
Taskers may publish predefined services on their profiles. Clients may purchase them without posting a task.

Purchase = acceptance of the Tasker’s terms. Platform may charge commissions and service fees.

3.4 Marketplace
Users can list second-hand items for sale with:

Detailed description,

Images,

Price,

Pickup/delivery method.

The Platform does not mediate payments or shipping. Illegal or unsafe products are prohibited.

3.5 Promotions and Paid Features
Users may purchase features like:

Listing promotions,

Highlighting in results,

Extra exposure.

Fees are displayed clearly. Promotion does not guarantee ranking or results. Terms may change with prior notice.

3.6 Ratings and Reviews
After a transaction:

Both parties can post a review,

Reviews must be truthful and based on real experiences,

Fake or incentivized reviews are forbidden.

The Platform may remove reviews that are:

False, abusive, illegal, or harmful to others,

Spammy or used for manipulation.

3.7 Listing Visibility and Ranking
Listings and profiles are ranked based on:

Relevance,

Location,

Profile quality and ratings,

User responsiveness and activity.

The Platform may rotate or promote newer users for fairness.

3.8 Reviews and Reputation System
Only users involved in a transaction can leave a review,

Each review can be responded to once by the recipient,

Reviews influence visibility on the Platform.

3.9 Advertising and External Links
The Platform may show ads and affiliate links,

It may earn commissions from clicks or purchases made via partner platforms,

The Platform is not responsible for third-party content or actions,

Users may not post external links without permission.

4. USER CONTENT

Users are solely responsible for all content they publish.

Prohibited content includes:

Anything illegal, offensive, or infringing,

Hidden advertising or spam,

Personal data of others without consent.

By publishing content, the User grants the Platform:

A non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license,

Rights to display, promote, edit and share content on social media or partner sites.

Users retain their copyright but authorize usage for Platform growth and marketing.

5. PROHIBITED CONDUCT

Prohibited actions include:

Breaking laws or impersonating others,

Creating fake or duplicate accounts,

Posting fake tasks, offers or reviews,

Sending spam or unsolicited messages,

Circumventing fees or commissions (e.g. offline payments),

Using bots or tools to manipulate traffic, rankings or visibility,

Offering rewards for reviews or fake engagement.

Violations may result in:

Content removal,

Account suspension or ban,

Legal actions or reporting to authorities.

6. LIABILITY

The Platform acts only as a technology provider and is not party to transactions,

Use of the Platform is at the User’s own risk,

The Platform does not guarantee uninterrupted access or success,

Maximum liability is limited to the total fees paid by the User in the last 12 months,

Taskers are responsible for compliance, taxes, and insurance.

7. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

7.1 User-to-User Disputes
Users must try to resolve any issues directly and in good faith.

The Platform is not a party to user agreements and is not responsible for results or payments.

7.2 Reporting to the Platform
Users may report abuse, scams, or major issues via email or contact form.

Moderation or intervention is at the Platform’s discretion.

7.3 Amicable Resolution
Parties agree to attempt a friendly resolution before legal action.

7.4 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to courts in the UK.

8. CHANGES TO TERMS

The Platform may update the Terms due to:

Legal changes,

Feature updates,

New business models or technical needs.

Important changes take effect 7 days after publication. Minor changes may take effect immediately.

Users will be notified via:

In-account notifications,

Website updates.

Continuing to use the Platform = acceptance of new Terms.

These Terms constitute the full agreement between the User and the Platform,

Invalid provisions do not affect the rest of the Terms,

Users may not assign their rights without written consent,

The Platform may freely assign its rights or duties,

All intellectual property belongs to the Platform or its licensors,

Third-party services (e.g. Stripe) may be used for payments,

Escrow or split-payment features may be introduced in the future.
